Neighbourly News
The football season is in full swing at the Fields, and despite the soggy start to the year, our brilliant grounds team are managing to keep things running so players, young and old, don’t miss out. Fingers crossed for some brighter, drier days ahead!
You might have noticed a bit of activity along our Trinity Road boundary recently. Unfortunately, a car crashed through the fence, but we’ve now put up a much sturdier one and taken the chance to clear away some overgrown ivy and weeds. We will be putting up screening soon as part of our safeguarding responsibilities. We will also be tidying up fence screening that has become detached due to recent high winds and storms.
Not long after, an emergency required an Air Ambulance to land on the Fields – being the nearest open space. The Met police responded quickly and forced open our electric gate for the medical team, so it now needs replacing. We hope that will be done by the end of February
You may also have noticed the trees overhanging the boundary with Trinity Road – close to where with buses pass. We’re looking into the best, most eco-friendly way to deal with those.
If you’d like to stay connected, just pop over to the new Support Us page and sign up for the newsletter via the Contact Us link – it’s a quick way to ensure you hear about what’s happening at the Fields and what’s coming up.
We’re looking forward to more opportunities to connect with you all this year. We really want the Fields to play its part in being an essential sporting asset for our local community.
