About Us
Trinity Fields Trust is a registered charity dedicated to creating opportunities for children and young people under 25 to get active—especially girls, young women, and those who may otherwise miss out due to cost or lack of access. We manage 7.5 acres of playing fields and a pavilion at Trinity Fields, all just a short walk from public transport. Our charity leases the Fields from Sir Walter St John’s Educational Charity (SWJEC), with all rent paid helping them to fund educational and community projects for local young people.
We offer:
Top-quality grass pitches for football, cricket, and more – 5-, 7-, 9-, or 11-a-side football pitches, and adult and colts cricket pitches
Safe, secure site ideal for children, schools, and clubs
Pavilion with changing rooms and toilets
Discounted rates for state schools, community groups and clubs for their own sporting events
Free access for community and schools’ sports events organised by Trinity Fields Trust
An enchanting secret garden for early years discovery.
We break down barriers—cost, safety, and availability—so every child can be active outdoors, in an inclusive and friendly environment.
Our Partners & Heritage
In Partnership: Hornsby House and Finton House Schools support our work—ensuring the fields remain at the heart of the community for generations to come. Each of them is a charitable trust and has a long-term commitment to our Fields.
A Proud Sporting Legacy: Trinity Fields has been a sporting home since the 1880s, hosting legendary teams and players. WG Grace once scored a cricket century here and was so smitten, he wanted to “carry the pitch away with him.”
